Random Events

Just some shots of Niran doing his thing.

I got a massage pillow for my birthday and Niran loves it. Just put it on his belly and the giggles begin!
I love the walker. It keeps him occupied for so long. He enjoys watching Sesame Street in the morning. As soon as Elmo is on the screen he just laughs. I didn't get the video rolling in time.
On Dad's XBOX Live account he keeps a shot of Niran update monthly. This is them working on the perfect picture. Niran would sit still until he saw himself on the tv and then he'd get so excited he dance and ruin the shot. This is usually a 30 minute task.
I needed to run into the mall the other day. I knew he hadn't taken a decent nap for the day, but I figured I'm running in and out he can survive. Notice he clunching that frog. I don't like to forget that when we leave the house.

New Kicks

Niran needed some new shoes. He doesn't fit into a bunch of his shoes ranging from sizes 1, but the 3s are still way too big and we don't have size 2s. I take that back. I'm pretty sure we have dress shoes in 2s, but he needs something to wear every day. My mom bought him a pair of size 2 tennis shoes. They would have looked great with jeans, but they didn't even come close to fitting. While I was at Target I found some sandals and since everyone thinks Niran has great toes for sandals I bought them. He'd rather eat his sandals right off of his feet. Luckily he doesn't hate them!

Rubber Ducky, You're the One

Niran has always enjoyed his bath time. Now that he's more activate he enjoys hanging his foot and hand over the edge of his chair and splashing. Even more, he loves knocking the cup out of Mom's hands and splashing himself in the face. I feel terrible about how much water this baby had splashed in his face. He won't be like me though, I hate having water splashed in my face. I decided that he might enjoy splashing in the water. Other than not sitting comfortably and trying to hold Niran up so he didn't end up face first in the water, but could still splash, I think it was a huge success!!

A Reader Just Like His Daddy

Grandma Jane bought Niran a soft book for Christmas. He wasn't a huge fan of it until he started rolling over. His favorite part is sucking on the taggies that hang off of it. Well, this morning while I was paying bills I looked over at our little rollie pollie and found him flipping through his book. I took a couple pictures and then helped him start his book over hoping to get video of him turning the pages, but he wanted to play with mommy instead.
Notice how he crosses his ankles while he reads. Reads his books from back to front.
Hi mom, I'm reading!

Open Mouth Insert Foot

Don't worry Dusty and I didn't say anything stupid. It was actually Niran. Over the last week he has been working on getting his foot into his mouth and he was came up just short. If we helped by folding him up or pushing his foot that much closer then he'd get it. Last night Dusty told me to look at him and sure enough his foot was in his mouth and he was sucking on it. Enjoy the video.

Peas, Peas, Peas

We moved on to peas last night. Yes, I know it's been awhile since we tried a new food, but sweet potatoes may not have liked Niran so much. We think there is a chance it was something I ate, but we'll have to wait and see what happens the next time we try them. We were finally able to get his reaction to sweet potatoes cleared up that we could try something new and peas it was. He didn't seem sure of what he was eating throughout dinner, but he did eat them all.

He's sitting

Dad has been working with Niran on sitting. These shots were taken when he sat by himself for about 3 minutes. He usually gets too excited about sitting by himself and starts waving his hand and right over he tumbles. Since this day he doesn't like leaning back on his boppy or any kind of pillow. We usually find him working those abdominals and trying to sit up.
